Virunga's Gorilla Protectors
Virunga National Park is home to several endangered species, including mountain gorillas and chimpanzees. These brave rangers put their lives on the line to protect the park and keep them safe. The natural world is in a constant fight against poaching, habitat encroachment, and rebel terrorist attacks.
Virunga is one of the most beautiful and fragile places on Earth. Gorilla treks help fund the rangers and keep the area protected. They are very careful with the gorillas, only allowing humans to view them in the wild at a distance and for only one hour a day. Senkwekwe Gorilla Orphanage is run by Andre Bauma, who cares for the orphaned gorillas who are rescued in the park.
All print proceeds go to Virunga National Park to help the rangers and their families in protecting the animals. You can also visit virunga.org to donate or learn more about Virunga National Park.
